Tournament March 7
Thank you to all the parents and students that
helped with the event.
From loading the mats and equipment into the
truck on Thursday night. To helping with the event on Saturday
with check-in and registration. And finally putting all the
mats and equipment back in place on Sunday morning.
Congratulations to all of our students for their performances.
A
special recognition to our two youngest competitors,
Aaron Hall and Adam Piejak for their great performances as the
fought there way
through the 6 - 7 Novice Olympic Sparring Division where they met in
the finals.
Aaron won this time in a closely fought match. I look forward
to watching them challenge
each other over the years as each makes the other even better.

Our Newest Black Belt
Congratulations Joe Miller
Joe tested for his Black Belt on August
21, 2008
Joe had a great test. He took advantage of
his opportunity to test by being prepared and having a great
performance. He demonstrated all the skills that he has
learned over the course of the five years he has been training.
Joe joins three other siblings, Cayla, Zac and Libbey, that have
already earned their Black Belts at our school.

2008 Competitor of the Year
Tyler Farr
Congratulations Tyler on earning the 2008
Competitor of the Year Award.
Your desire and hard work was rewarded by a
great year of Taekwondo.
From your many successes in competition, to
earning your 2nd Dan, 2008 was a great year.
Black Belt Tests and Results
On June 21, 2008 Brian Piejak successfully
completed and passed his 1st Dan Black Belt Test.
Congratulations to you Brian (bottom

Thank you to the testing board for your
time and talents.

Kristian Garcia, Zack Mudge, Mia Griffiths
and Emily Johnson tested on May 22, 2008 for their 1st Dan Black Belt.
It was a great test. For the testing board and all of the
family members it was a great test to watch. We are all proud
of you. We regret that Brian Piejak injured himself playing
Baseball a few days before the test. Brian will test in about
six weeks. Thank you to the testing board for your time and
talents.

Black Belts
I would like to acknowledge the
following
individuals who have trained with and earned their Black
Belts from me since I opened my first school in 1982.
I have had the pleasure of teaching thousands of students
over the years, but it is a small handful that demonstrated
the desire, dedication, effort and commitment to reach the
goal of Black Belt. Those individuals that have earned
their Black Belts from me will always be remembered by me as
special. It was my great pleasure to have helped them
reach their goals. I hope others will have their names
added to the list below. To those Black Belts that
still train and continue to reflect the spirit of Taekwondo,
you are the backbone of the school and your inspiration to
your juniors is greatly appreciated.
